You can charge the batteries without removing them from the grip. All you need to do is connect the camera to a PD-compatible USB power source. The advanced ergonomic and non-slip battery grip makes it much easier to hold and use the camera. The built-in flash sync socket is used, for example, to connect wired studio flash units.
